Educational Outreach Program

The Educational Outreach Program is designed to generate public interest in Thoroughbreds as sport and pleasure horses, as well as the joys of farming and agriculture.  With 3 internship possibilities, a host of volunteer opportunities, and many ways to disseminate our information, AFTER the Track has something for everyone.  We strive to provide inspiration and assistance to others interested in expanding our efforts and replicating our program.

The Educational Outreach Program promotes tourism, volunteerism, and provides educational internships for high school and college students.  The facility is open to the public via visits, tours, demonstrations and field trips to promote interest in OTTBs and the racing industry, and to raise awareness and motivate others to become involved in our initiative.

INTERNSHIPS

We offer internships in a variety of areas, including Horsemanship, Farm Management and Business Innovations.

For detailed information about internships please go to our internship page.

DISSEMINATION

Our facility is open to the public via visits, tours, demonstrations and field trips to promote interest in OTTBs and the racing industry, and to raise awareness and inspire others to become involved in our worthy efforts.  We are also available to come to you and happily offer presentations to groups of all ages about our organization.

To make an appointment to visit the farm, arrange for a presentation, volunteer, or to inquire about an internship opportunity, please contact Ginny at info@afterthetrack.org or 802-355-5449.
